Offers all Quebec industries, in all regions, privileged access to natural gas.
The SLNGaz project will allow Quebec businesses to be more competitive on a national and international scale.
By replacing oil with natural gas, industries will be able to reduce their carbon footprint as well as their emissions of air pollutants.
SLNGaz is proud to present its project to build and operate a liquefied natural gas plant in the Bécancour Industrial Park.
“Our development vision is clear: from design to start-up, our goal is to develop this initiative in collaboration with the Bécancour community and ensure our project fits into the region’s socio-economic development plan. This is why we have also decided to immediately begin our consultation and discussion sessions with members of the public and the Bécancour business community,” stated Bjørn Torkildsen, President of SLNGaz.
The social and environmental impact assessment (SEIS) has been entrusted to a team of experts at the SNC-Lavalin Environment and Water business unit due to their skill and extensive experience in conducting similar studies in Quebec, notably for the IFFCO Canada project here in Bécancour.
